HTF Free Virtual Holiday Camp – February Half Term

Who are we?

Huddersfield Town Foundation (HTF) are the official charity of Huddersfield Town Football Club (HTAFC). We work in schools across Kirklees and Calderdale providing 41 free breakfast clubs and delivering educational interventions, 1:1 mentoring and workshops. We also provide activities within the community for young people and adults including: Premier League Kicks, adult weight management interventions, disability sport, mental health support and NCS.

What are we providing in half term?

Across the week we will be delivering a mixture of live, pre-recorded and offline activities for young people to get involved in, activities will include

* Fitness, football, netball and multi skills sessions
* Healthy eating workshops, bake a-long, arts and crafts activities
* Social action challenge
* Quizzes
* Scavenger Hunts
* Boxing
* Dance
* Martial Arts

There will be a minimum of two activities per day to get involved in for each age group (primary / secondary)

How will we deliver it?

Sessions will take place via Zoom although some sessions will be launched (like the scavenger hunt) and then participants will be encouraged to take their daily exercise with a parent/carer whilst completing the tasks set by the HTF coaches.

We also have a HTAFC Mascot activity booklet for those who can’t access our digital offer.

Who is it for?

Anyone aged 5-16. Some sessions will be specific to primary school participants, others will be specific to secondary school participants. We hope to release our timetable of activities by the end of the week and participants/parents/carers will be able to sign up to the sessions relevant to their age and interests. Activities can also be accessed by young people with disabilities although they may require more support from their parent/carer to access them.

Participants will be able to log into sessions of their choice and prizes will be awarded across the week, including an exclusive prize for any who attend 100% of the sessions within their age range.

We will endeavour to deliver all offline activity packs to you next week.

Other Information:

All HTF employees hold enhanced DBS checks.

All activities are risk assessed and we will ensure that only those who are signed up with us are able to access the sessions.

All those who attend will be asked to sign a code of conduct and will be removed from sessions if they break the terms of this.

We look forward to welcoming you into what will be a very different holiday camp than we usually provide but hopefully still as fun and enjoyable for those in attendance.
