Mark Bradley (Governor)

I was a police officer for 32 years and held the rank of Detective Chief Superintendent. For 8 years I was Head of the Forces Anti Corruption Discipline and Professional Standards Department. Academically I hold a Master of Arts in Leadership and Management (Policing and Security) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Organisational Studies. I also holds a Diploma in Advanced Criminology.

I was also an accredited Hostage Negotiator and Kidnap Coordinator trained in the UK and by the FBI in the USA.

Since leaving the police I have worked internationally in over 25 countries primarily relating to corruption, professional standards and hostage and kidnap. Between 2008 and 2011 I lived and worked in Albania as the Anti Corruption and Professional Standards adviser to the Albanian Ministry of Interior, Internal Control Service, and State Police regarding police corruption, discipline, and professional and ethical standards. Between 2013 and 2015 I lived and worked in Ramallah Palestine where I was Team Leader on an EU project managing a team of international policing experts working with the Palestinian State Police.

I am currently dividing my time between working internationally as a strategic policing adviser and as a university lecturer managing postgraduate and master’s degree courses in corruption prevention ethics and accountability.
