Students arriving on the INSET days for testing, Monday 6th September 2021 and Tuesday 7 th September 2021 must arrive promptly at the allocated times. They will enter via the Dryclough Road pedestrian entrance and make their way down to the back of the sports hall, where they will be greeted by a member of staff. Your child will wait for their test result on site and then will be expected to make their way home. Parent/carers will not be allowed to enter the academy site during testing unless invited to do so by a member of academy staff.

Testing Schedule by Form

Should there have been any changes to your child’s tutor group for September they will have been informed of this already and it is key that students attend when their form group are due to test. Please read the above testing schedule and check it carefully. Students will have one LFD test before returning to the academy. The second LFD test will be scheduled during lesson time.

Please ensure you have completed the Microsoft Forms document giving consent (this can be found on the main page of our website), regardless of whether you agree or do not agree to your child being tested. Should you require this document in a paper format please contact the academy. Your child cannot be tested without this completed consent form. Students will already be in and will remain in the academy for their second test. Should there be a positive case, you will, as previously, be contacted to collect your child.

COVID Test Consent Form

The form for covid testing for your child whether you are giving consent or not can be found via the above link. Please complete a paper copy (sent separately) if you have a child who is starting in year 7 next year. We would ask that this consent form is completed by 3pm on Friday 30th July 2021 so that we are able to plan effectively for our testing programme in September at the days and times stated above.

COVID Reporting

Please remember if your child tests positive on a lateral flow test, or develops any of the three main symptoms (new, continuous cough, loss or change in taste/smell, or a temperature) isolate in line with government guidance, book a PCR test as soon as possible and please phone the academy to inform us of this.

Please follow the processes below in the instance of a positive PCR result.
