Nassy has been a teacher of English at Moor End Academy since 2019. She graduated from the University of Huddersfield after studying Education Studies, and continued her passion for working in Education by completing her PGCE in Secondary English. Nassy has always had a love for English since her own Secondary School days, and with the help of a couple of influential, magical and enthusiastic teachers of her own, she knew that this was the path for her! Immediately after her post-graduate course, Nassy embarked on her career as a teacher. It wasn't until a couple of years later, where Nassy found her passion in leadership, and was appointed as Assistant Curriculum Leader, and now Joint Curriculum Leader.Nassy was originally born in Iran, and moved over to England when she was just 3 years old. Although moving at such a young age benefitted Nassy and her language acquisition in English, she yearns to go back home and visit Iran for its beautiful scenes, rich heritage and historic culture. Nassy has a love for travelling, and has visited countries like Italy, France, Spain, India, Morrocco and Turkey, and when not abroad, Nassy takes every opportunity to bask in nature, exploring the scenic countryside of England." -

Mr D HardenSubject Leader of History
Mr D Harden
Dale has been a teacher of History since 1995. After completing his first degree at the University of York, he worked in the car industry for four years, running repair centres in Sheffield and travelling around the country to help improve his company in order to achieve British and European awards for the best training, recruitment and ethical standards. His focus changed in 1994 when he decided that a History teaching career would be the next step on his journey. After training at the University of Sheffield, Dale then spent the next twenty four years teaching in Doncaster. After 5 years he qualified as an Advanced Skills Teacher and spent a rewarding time helping all of the schools in Doncaster develop their Citizenship and History teaching and Learning. This lead to appointment as a Senior Leader and allowed Dale to branch out and support his schools in a much wider way, teaching new subjects, running a Maths department and supporting students both inside and outside school.
Sport has always been a passion for Dale with Rugby League and Union still forming much of his activity outside of teaching. He has coached teams from the smallest juniors to U-18 level and still enjoys the odd gentle session training players new and old. Dale is something of a machine enthusiast and particularly loves watching old racing cars, historic sports cars and aeroplanes of all description. Indeed, Dale flew his first plane at the age of 16, solo before he could legally drive a car.
He still lives in Sheffield, has supported one son through a History degree, with another about to start forensic anthropology in 2020. Weightlifting consumes much of his leisure time and he is currently deadlifting, pressing and squatting very heavy things in any free time he has. His target is to start powerlifting in the Masters division by 2020!

Mr A HafeezSubject Leader of Computing & Business
Mr A Hafeez
Abdul Hafeez is a former Moor End Academy student, after leaving school and then college, in 1995 Abdul left Huddersfield and went away to the University of Lincolnshire, where he studied BSc (Hons) Business & Technology. During his years at university, Abdul went on to do many jobs through the summer holidays during his University days, oneof which included working at the local fireworks factory at Crosland Hill.
Abdul embarked on a career in IT, which meant living away from home again, which this time was for 14 years. Initially, he was appointed as a technician working in classrooms, helping the teachers use software and hardware to improve teaching and learning and to raise pupil attainment. This is where Abdul honed his knowledge and understanding of computer networks and IT systems and their role in improving teaching and learning, quickly progressing to therole of senior technician. By this time his IT skills had rapidly grown to a point where Abdul was in charge of the department and was prioritising work for other technicians. However, his role took him away from the classroom and from working with staff and students and he missed this. Abdul'sformer Head teacher realised this and offered him the excellent opportunity to train as a teacher through the school based Graduate Teaching Program. It was a time when the ICT department results were not good, but as the years went on the departmental results just got better and better, during his time the school was rated OUTSTANDING twice by Ofsted.
In 2014 Abdul lead the department and its success still continued, always in the top 5 of all subjects. Then in 2017 he had the opportunity to come back home, to give back to the community he grew up in, so became subject leader of Business & Computing at Moor End Academy.
Abdul is a keen football fan, who follows Liverpool avidly. Healso likes to relax with his family who regularly go out together at the weekends.Abdul has also for the past few years been learning to play golf, whichhe is really enjoying.
