Why I Chose MEA

My name is Kainaat. I would like to tell you a bit about Moor End Academy and my journey to reaching this outstanding school.

This first began when I had the choice of which high school I wanted to attend. I had a couple of other schools in mind, and Moor End was not one of my first choices.  I had heard about all the positive changes, but I still wasn’t sure. This all changed when I came to the Open Evening. As soon as I entered I knew that there was something special about MEA. The staff were wonderful and the students who gave me a tour were clearly proud that they came to Moor End. I listened to Mr Rafiq’s speech and I was inspired and excited about the vision and values at the school.

As soon as I left that evening, I knew that the only school I wanted to go to was
Moor End Academy. My parents agreed with me and since I’ve been here I have
loved it. I’m so grateful for being part of a world class community and I’m so happy
that I’m now a moorender for life.
