Sports Presentation Evening

On Tuesday the 18th of June, the PE Department held their annual Sports Presentation Evening.  

The event was the best attended to date with over 150 students and parents showing their support for a great year of sporting achievement at Moor End Academy. The PE Department gave out 20 awards to individual performers and two team awards. The big winners of the evening were the Y9 Netball team who walked away with the prestigious ‘Team of the Year Award’ after an excellent season long performance.

Current Commonwealth Bronze Medallist Weight Lifter, Emily Campbell, attended the
evening and gave a motivating speech to guests before helping the PE staff hand out
the evening’s awards. After the ceremony, attendees also had the opportunity to have
their photo taken with Emily. All at Moor End Academy would like to thank Emily for giving up her time to attend the evening.

The PE department would like to extend their congratulations to all the evening’s winners
and thank all attendees for making the evening exciting and enjoyable. A special thanks from the PE staff to all parents, friends and families who attended to support academy pupils.
