Record Numbers Turn Out for Year 6 Open Day

On Thursday 27th September Moor End Academy held its annual Open Evening. There was an incredible turnout, with the highest attendance ever; this included parents attending from an incredible 17 different primary schools. The Principal, Mr Rafiq, gave an inspirational presentation, sharing the academy’s vision for MEA. The Head Boy and Head Girl also presented, giving prospective parents a taste of what life is like at the academy as we continue with our journey to World Class. Parents and students were guided around the academy by members of the Student Council, and the Student Leadership Group were also on hand to guide and support, gaining stakeholder feedback upon exit. Parents commented that “it was amazing!”, that “the evident enthusiasm of your teaching staff was infectious” and it had been a “thoroughly enjoyable evening”. The CEO Ms Acklam was also in attendance and declared the evening to have been “super”!
