MEAs First Grand Iftar
On Wednesday 29th March 2023 we hosted our first ever Grand Iftar. This event had been proposed by our two head students Madiha and Layla as well as the rest of the Student Leadership Team.
During the month of Ramadan, Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. The meal eaten whilst closing the fast is called Suhoor. The opening of the fast is called an Iftar. Muslims will open their fast with family and friends.
We hosted the Iftar for over 150 people, including staff, students, and members of the local community. A big thank you to Sunrise catering who catered for the event and the Eden Centre for sending a representative to open the fast and lead the congregational prayer.
