Flamingo Land Reward Trip

Moor End Academy is proud of our attendance and punctuality figures; as an academy we consistently enjoy higher attendance than national data. However, our ambition to become world class means that we are never satisfied and are always striving for the next level and our next challenge. We expect our students to achieve 97%+ attendance each academic year, and in the spring term we launched our “97 in 7” challenge, in which we challenged our students to achieve 97% attendance in the forthcoming seven week term. The incentive?  A trip to Flamingo Land …

More than half of all students in years 7 to 10 achieved the challenge, and an amazing 424 students and 42 members of staff enjoyed a fantastic day out to Flamingo Land on 3rd July.  As there were so many coaches we held a staggered departure, with students arriving at the academy from 07:30. A brilliant day was had by all, and the behaviour of students  was, as expected, exemplary. We are already planning next year’s attendance reward trip, which will be even bigger and better!
