Enriching Our Students

On Monday 11th March 2019, the maths faculty hosted the NRICH Roadshow which involved Y8 students from Moor End and Waterhead Academy. The Roadshow developed many key skills such as problem solving, resilience, communication skills, strategic thinking, curiosity and creativity. The Y8 students involved had a lot of fun exploring maths in a variety of ways and demonstrated a great amount of grit, independent thinking and ingenuity. Mrs Leach from South Pennine Academies Trust and Mr Sharpe from NRICH were particularly impressed with the behaviour and “World Class attitude” from all the students who took part in sessions.
