Duke of Edinburgh Award

The Duke of Edinburgh Award has just been launched to Y9 students and gained lots of interest. It gives students the opportunity to help in their local community, learn new skills and take part in physical activity. The most exciting part for students is the expedition, where they go into the outdoors on a two day and one night hiking expedition.

Colleges and businesses love to see Duke of Edinburgh Awards on applications as they recognise the commitment and hard word that has gone into achieving it. Look out for further updates on the award via Twitter and the academy’s website.
